Randell Williams was the hero for Wycombe Wanderers as he came from the bench to score a late winner against Yeovil Town on Saturday.

The Watford loanee’s 79th minute effort proved to be enough to give the Chairboys a 1-0 win over the Glovers which keeps their League Two promotion hopes on track.

Gareth Ainsworth’s men sit third in the table heading into their final four games of the season and will be assured of automatic promotion should they maintain their position.

Michael Folivi was also among the goals as he notched his first Boreham Wood strike in a 4-2 defeat of Chester on Saturday.

The 20-year-old forward got the ball rolling with just six minutes on the clock as the Wood kept up their pursuit of a National League play-off spot.

They are fourth in the table with two games remaining this season.

There was late drama for Costel Pantilimon as he helped Nottingham Forest return to winning ways against Ipswich Town.

Forest had looked destined to go down to a fourth straight defeat after Grant Ward beat Pantilimon with a 38th minute effort.

However, they drew level from the spot as Ben Bereton held his nerve in the 89th minute and they snatched a winner through Joe Lolley just a minute later.

It was a less successful weekend for Watford’s other on loan stopper Pontus Dahlberg as his IFK Gothenburg side went down to a 2-1 defeat to Ostersund.

Curtis Edwards and Saman Ghoddos scored in the 58th and 64th minute respectively to leave Gothenburg facing an uphill task to take anything from the game.

They did manage to reduce the arrears through Mix Diskerud but couldn’t complete a late comeback in the league loss.

North of the border Alex Jakubiak was unable to help Falkirk get the better of Dundee United in the Scottish Championship as they fell to a 1-0 defeat.

Fellow Watford man Brandon Mason was not named in the United squad for the game.

Finally, Andrew Eleftheriou was an unused sub as Nowegian side Sandefjord played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Kristiansund.
