Oxhey Jets have appointed Tim O’Sullivan as their new manager as they fight to retain their Spartan South Midlands League Premier Divison status.
Club founder and general manager John Elliott told the Watford Observer he had accepted Lee Stedman’s resignation following Tuesday’s St Mary’s Cup defeat to Leverstock Green, Jets' 13th game in all competitions without victory.
O’Sullivan joins Jets having started the season with their former South Midlands rivals and neighbours Sun Sports, who folded after losing the use of their pitch following a dispute with the club’s owners.
During his time at the helm, O’Sullivan enjoyed particular success in cup competitions, guiding Sun to historic runs in both the FA Cup and FA Vase.
The new Jets manager takes over with Jets second from bottom in the Premier Division, three points from safety and with six games remaining to try and retain their top-flight status, starting at home to eighth-placed Biggleswade United tomorrow.
