AIDY BOOTHROYD will unleash Marlon King and Darius Henderson on Sheffield United tomorrow (Saturday) after declaring neither player will be leaving Vicarage Road.

King has been linked with a move to Premiership new boys Derby this week but Boothroyd insists "he is going nowhere". The manager is also due to hold talks with Darius Henderson who has been unsettled over the summer by Boothroyd's abortive attempts to bring in other strikers.

Contrary to speculation Boothroyd will not be reviving his interest in Collins John or bringing in Dong Fanzhuo and Lee Martin on loan from Manchester United.

"I haven't even spoken to Sir Alex, to be honest," said Boothroyd. " I've got no intention of bringing anybody in from Manchester United."

The manager has not ruled out the possibility of bringing long-term target Nathan Ellington to Vicarage Road.

"He's the type of player I like but what I don't want to do is get everybody's hopes up again and then it not come off," he said. "He is a player I admire."

Boothroyd holds King in even higher regard and insists he will not sell his prized asset at any price.

"We haven't had any bid from Derby and they haven't got enough money anyway," said Boothroyd.

"If we get to the Premiership it is worth £60m over three years and unless someone has got £60m then he isn't going anywhere. It's as simple as that.

"Selling Hameur Bouazza and Ashley Young was a different kettle of fish. Marlon King stays as long as I'm here. He is part of the core of the team that got promotion and he's going to get us back to the Premiership.

"What is the logic in me letting someone go who is going to get you 26 goals and is your talisman? He has grown and come on so much and he only signed an improved contract in the summer. If I sell all my best players where does that leave me? He's a key part of my plans."

So too, it would appear, is Henderson.

The 25-year-old turned down a move to Preston last month but was still considering leaving Vicarage Road after only being recalled from the wilderness because Boothroyd missed out on Heidar Helguson and DJ Campbell. Henderson is likely to be offered improved terms to ward off interest from the likes of Preston, Wolves and Sheffiled Wednesday.

The Doncaster-born battering ram underlined his importance to the team by helping turn the game Watford's way at Molineux on Saturday and showed why he is the ideal foil for King. Tomorrow, the two should line-up together for the first time in almost a year.

"I've got to have a sit down with Darius and have a good chat with him," he added.

"It was a little bit of in experience on my part. I will make mistakes but I learn from them and I'll be better for them.

"I've known Darius now for long time, know what he's good at and what he's not good at and he could say the same about me. It's time to patch things up and get on with it. He's a real asset for this club a he's staying.

"We've come a long way together, there is a bond there," he added. "He's come on so much as a player and a person and I don't want to lose a player of that calibre. If he goes somewhere else he will be working against us and I don't want that. I want him doing to us what he did for us what he did on Saturday.

"Tamas is a terrific player and I've got very high hopes for him but Darius helped take pressure of Marlon.

"Players don't like playing against him. He gets in their faces and we got into their box because he was around. Sometimes you think you can get better but sometimes you make a mistake and actually the grass isn't greener."
