Nordin Amrabat finished the La Liga season in perfect fashion as he scored the winning goal in Leganes’ 3-2 defeat of Real Betis on Saturday.

Leganes looked to be fighting a losing battle after Joel Campbell put Betis ahead in the 20th minute and Diego Rico was sent off soon after.

However, goals from Dimitrios Siovas and Jose Naranjo gave them a 2-1 lead soon after the hour mark.

Antonio Sanabria handed Betis parity in the 76th minute before Watford loanee Amrabat scored three minutes later to ensure Leganes took all three points.

The final-day goal saw Amrabat finish the campaign with three to his name for the La Liga side and his form this season has been good enough to earn him a call-up to Morocco’s World Cup squad.

Morocco have been drawn in Group B at the World Cup in Russia and will take on Iran, Portugal and Spain as they attempt to book safe passage to the knockout stages.
