Turkish media reports are claiming Watford winger Nordin Amrabat is a target for Trabzonspor.

The Moroccan enjoyed a productive World Cup and was one of his country’s best performers as they were knocked out at the group stage in Russia.

His showings at the tournament will only have seen his stock rise and, with just a year left to run on Amrabat’s contract, Watford may be eager to cash in on the 31-year-old.

Trabzonspor, however, are understood to favour a loan deal for a player who looks to be facing a tough task to force his way into Javi Gracia’s long-term plans.

The Hornets have added Gerard Deulofeu and Ken Sema as options in the attacking positions Amrabat would look to occupy and also have the likes of Richarlison and Roberto Pereyra in their number.

With this in mind, game time could well be at a premium for Amrabat and a departure could suit all parties.

He spent last season on loan at Leganes and scored five goals in 35 appearances across all competitions for the La Liga club.
