Dodi Lukebakio has completed a loan switch to Fortuna Dusseldorf in a deal which will see him spend the 2018/19 season with the German outfit.
The 20-year-old joined Watford for an undisclosed fee in January and made just a solitary substitute appearance for the club last term, coming on in the 2-0 defeat at West Ham United in February.
Having failed to make any sort of a lasting impression, the Belgian has will now be given the chance to develop and gain regular first team football as Dusseldorf.
His move to Dusseldorf comes after a 45 minute outing against the Bundesliga side in Watford’s 3-1 pre-season win on Saturday.
Lukebakio joined Watford from Anderlecht where he had come through the ranks as a youth player and is contracted to the Hornets until 2022.
