Speculation linking Roberto Pereyra with a move to Serie A side Torino has resurfaced.

Torino boss Walter Mazzarri is well-known to be an admirer of Pereyra having brought him to Watford during his short-lived tenure at Vicarage Road.

Pereyra has been linked with a move away from the club throughout the summer, but has featured heavily during Watford’s pre-season friendly games and is well valued by Javi Gracia.

Torino are likely to have to pay in the region of €20 million to even convince Watford to entertain allowing the winger to depart.

The 27-year-old has struggled with injury during his time at Vicarage Road, but finished last season in good form as he scored three goals in his final six outings.

Those strikes took his tally for the campaign to five in 34 games.

With Richarlison departing for £44m to Everton, Watford would be loathed to lose another wide option, especially considering Gerard Deulofeu has struggled with injury in pre-season.

Despite the English transfer market closing tomorrow, Torino will be in no rush to get any potential deal done due to European clubs being able to do business until August 31.
