Anthony Taylor will take charge of Watford’s televised clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The game will be the Cheshire official’s third Premier League match of the season, having last officiated Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 win over Fulham in which he did not show a single card.
Taylor was in the middle for four Watford games last season, the highlight from a Hornets perspective being the 1-0 home win over Everton in February.
He also refereed the 3-3 opening-day draw with Liverpool, the 5-0 reverse at Anfield and the 6-0 drubbing at home to Manchester City.
Taylor will be assisted by Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn, while Stuart Attwell has been appointed the fourth official for Sunday’s 1.30pm kick off.
