Young Watford striker Ryan Cassidy will not be featuring for the Republic of Ireland Under 19s this morning after a blizzard prevented their UEFA U19 European qualifier against Switzerland from taking place.

The game was due to take place today in Salzburg, Austria at 10am GMT, but heavy snowfall has led to the match being postponed until noon tomorrow.

Cassidy, who is part of the U19s squad, was involved in a defeat against Denmark for the Irish youngsters last month in Sligo.

Another young Watford player to miss out on international game time was Nigerian midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru, who was an unused substitute in Nigeria U23's 3-1 win over Zambia in the U23 African Cup of Nations.
