HUGH VYVYAN is relishing the arrival of Chris Jack even though the All Black lock will threaten his place in the Saracens side.
Jack arrives in Watford early next month to begin his two-and-a-half year stint with the Men in Black, following fellow countrymen Carl Hayman, Luke McAllister, Aaron Mauger and Rico Gear who have also swapped hemispheres following the World Cup.
Vyvyan has been one of the Men in Black's stand-out performers this season and director of rugby Alan Gaffney will be spoilt for choice once Jack, a world-class operator in the second row, jets in.
"It's nice to have said such quality player coming to club," said Vyvyan. "He played for the All Blacks which is no mean feat. His ability speaks for itself and he'll bring fresh ideas and he's a pretty good all-round player. Playing alongside players like that can only help your game."
