We have again delved into the Watford Observer’s online archive and here are ten pictures for you to enjoy that were captured by our photographers from the earlier years of this century.

These pictures from the early to mid-2000s feature a visit from a Prime Minister and an England World Cup winner returning to his old school.

There were queues outside the ticket office at Vicarage Road for tickets for a big cup tie, fireman were posing for a charity calendar while this newspaper celebrated a landmark birthday by producing a special toy. Do you you still own one?
