AN artist's impression of the proposed redevelopment of the East Stand at Vicarage Road has been unveiled.
Plans to turn the stand in Occupation Road into a 5,000 capacity, one-tier, three-levelled stand were submitted to Watford Borough Council last week and the club expect to hear back from the authorities by the end of May.
"This site is very, very difficult," said chief executive Mark Ashton. "It's land-locked, we've got allotments, we've got houses, hospitals, it's in a hole and it's twisted. Just getting builders on and off site is difficult in itself. Once it's down, it will be unique, proper football stadium. It will be on a much smaller scale, but very much like Newcastle's."
