It is vital for Saracens to blood talented young coaches as well as players, says new boss Eddie Jones.

The Men in Black's director of rugby has assembled a new-look coaching team that blends youth and experience. Former Sarries back row Alex Sanderson, 28, has filled the forwards coach vacancy left by new Taranaki boss Adrian Kennedy, 32-year-old Paul Gustard has become skills coach after hanging up his boots while prop Cobus Visagie will work on Sarries' scrummaging technique and continue to play if and when required.

Richard Graham has been promoted from assistant coach to coaching coordinator and boss Jones is still talking to Richard Hill about a role within the new backroom structure.

"Not only do we want to be a club that wins, we want to be a club that produces good coaches," said Jones. "It is important to build that base and that is why we've purposely brought two of the younger guys back in Alex and Paul. Alex had a year with me in Queensland and a very successful year with England Under-18s.Saracens has been sponsoring his development and he is now ready to take over a role as a forwards coach in the Premiership. He is young and has the potential to be a very good coach.

"The same applies to Paul. He is a very analytical, hard working player who is well respected. We saw him as a guy not only a part of the Sarries renaissance over the past few years but one capable of becoming quite a good coach."

Jones added the know-how of Visagie and Graham will also aid Sarries' progress on and off the pitch.

"Cobus will still be available to play but we're anxious for a guy like Tom Mercey to start pushing through and challenge Cencus Johnston. We want Cobus to really work on the scrum as with the new laws coming in, the scrum will be a very important part of the game, so his experience there is very useful.

"Richard Graham will be essentially doing the same job but we've changed his role to coaching coordinator, so he will be looking after that staff. He will be in charge of what happens on the field in terms of organsing the coaches and the sessions, obviously in consultation with me."
