WATFORD's manager will be hoping Nottingham Forest do not come in with a vastly increased offer to tempt the board and the board-allied investors to cash in on Danny Webber.

"Every club and every player has his price and it is hard to think that Forest will not come back with an improved offer but I don't think it will be enough to tempt the board," said Ray Lewington with fingers crossed.

"I told Danny the situation as far as I know it and he was pleased with the decision. It did not affect him at all. One has to remember that Danny could have gone to Forest in the summer but chose us instead. He is happy here."

With Webber scoring the winner on Saturday, most of the after-match questions focused on the striker.

"He is technically very good outside the penalty area. You can play the ball up to him and he is very comfortable holding and shielding it. One of the pieces of juggling he did in the second-half was really terrific," said the manager.

"But Danny knows he has to score goals and I think he will. He needs to add that to his game if he is going to be a top player and he is working on it. He is only a young player and his first-team experience has only been with us. He has come through quite a lot. He dislocated his shoulder with us last season, recovered from that and then broke his leg. Next his best friend was killed, so it is bound to take time for him to come through but I fancied he could pose Rotherham problems and he did."
