Watford Academy graduate Richard Lee is set to stay at the club after agreeing terms on a new one-year contract extension.

The 26-year-old’s current deal runs out in the summer and the keeper has been considering his future since Brendan Rodgers offered him a new contract shortly after the manager’s arrival.

Lee hinted he ideally wanted a two-year deal during an interview with the Watford Observer two weeks ago.

But the Oxfordshire-born shotstopper is expected to sign a one-year agreement in the coming days.
