Watford’s Theo Robinson is expected to sign for Swindon Town after the two clubs agreed a fee believed to be in excess of £100,000.
Swindon and Southend United are both understood to have had bids accepted by Watford and there is also apparently a third side interested in the 20-year-old.
The deal to Swindon is by no means complete as the striker is out of the country on holiday and has not had his medical or completely agreed the terms of his contract.
But he is believed to favour The Robins over Southend, where he scored seven goals while on loan for the second half of this season.
Watford are understood to be pleased with the deal agreed with Swindon, which is expected to be in excess of £100,000 with a number of add-ons based on appearances and promotion.
Neither the Hornets or their counterparts would comment on the possible transfer.
Swindon are looking to Robinson because their leading scorer Simon Cox is expected to leave this summer.
Robinson’s move should be announced in the coming weeks.
