Watford FC boss to take part in live webchat

Watford manager Malky Mackay will be in the Watford Observer offices on Monday to take part in a live webchat.

Mackay will be online from 1.15pm to take your questions on everything from how he is enjoying the challenge of his new job to what his transfer plans are before the season starts.

This is the second time the Watford Observer has hosted a live webchat.

In April, then-Watford boss Brendan Rodgers visited the newsroom to field questions from our readers.

The event, which can still be seen here proved to be extremely popular and we anticipate that this latest webchat will attract even more interest.

So to be in with the best chance of having your question answered, log on to this website 10 minutes before the webchat is due to begin, and follow the link from the homepage.

i will be on holiday, can someone ask what he plans to do with Ellington....maybe he could get him scoring goals again?

The issue with Ellington is his wages & I am sure the club will offload him at the earliest opportunity? Saying that, what happens if he starts the season banging in goals? - do you keep him or do you move him on as there will surely then be interest from other clubs if he does so?

If he bangs them in then other clubs will want him and the fee we charge will be justified as WFC will want to re-couperate!

Absolutely right I think. I'm sure the club (Malky) has already made the comment that they want Ellington back fit and ready to go from day 1 of the season..the thing is, if he looks good at the start of the season then surely you play him as that is the only way he will be sold, plus he's still a Watford player competing for a position. If he bangs in the goals then he may have some financial value and we would definitely look to sell him regardless...with goals gets us more money than without goals. Either way we have big wages to pay so why not make use of him if he is playing well.
