Malky Mackay has denied reports Ipswich have made a bid for Tamas Priskin despite claims their boss Roy Keane was at Vicarage Road yesterday.
Watford manager Mackay has also dismissed reports Jon Harley is on the verge of joining Nottingham Forest for £500,000.
Some news outlets were claiming this week that Ipswich had a £1m bid for Priskin turned down but after Watford's 3-2 victory over Parma, Mackay said that was not the case.
Mackay said: “There is nothing at the moment in terms of Tamas. I am seeing what you are seeing in terms of press speculation but until such times that something would come in, then I would have to look at it and then react to it.”
However, it is believed Ipswich manager Keane was sitting in the stands during yesterday's win over Serie A side Parma and is contemplating a move for the Hungarian.
Harley is another player linked with an imminent move away from the Hornets but Mackay has also squashed those claims.
He said: “I saw a report in the paper concerning something like £500,000 from Forest. There has been no bid for John Harley, absolutely no bid for him.”
