Ipswich Town have made a bid for Watford’s Tamas Priskin according to the striker’s agent.

At the weekend, both Hornets’ boss Malky Mackay and Ipswich manager Roy Keane dismissed claims that a bid of around £1m had been made for the Hungarian.

But Priskin’s agent Joseph Vörösbaranyi told Nemzeti Sport: “I cannot reveal the price, but I may confirm that Ipswich have made a very serious offer for Watford’s Tamas Priskin.

“We wait for the club's answer now, but I believe that an agreement will be made between the two clubs.”

Keane was spotted at Vicarage Road during Watford’s 3-2 win over Parma on Saturday and it is being reported that Ipswich have bid up to £1.2m for the 22-year-old.

Vörösbaranyi claims Priskin would be interested in moving to Ipswich but said the 6ft 1 striker would also be content to stay at Watford.

Priskin joined the Hornets in 2006 for an undisclosed fee and although he struggled during much of his time under Aidy Boothroyd, the striker was outstanding in the second half of last season.

He scored against Tottenham and Chelsea in the FA Cup and League Cup and bagged nine in the final 16 games of last season.
