Watford’s Scott Loach and Tom Cleverley have both been included in England Under-21’s starting line-up for their Euro 2011 qualifier against Portugal at Wembley this lunchtime.

Hornets keeper Loach maintains his ever-present record for Stuart Pearce’s side this term by winning his tenth cap at this level, while on-loan Manchester United midfielder Cleverley will earn his fourth cap.

However, the third current Vicarage Road player in the squad, Henri Lansbury, has to be content with a place on the bench after being called up for the first time during mid-week.

The Watford playing connections in the Under-21 side do not end there though, because former loanees Danny Rose and Jack Cork are in the starting line-up and on the bench respectively.

England start the match six points behind group leaders Greece, but this is the first of their two games in hand.

England Under-21s: Scott Loach; Michael Mancienne, Ryan Bertrand, Frabrice Muamba, Micah Richards, Chris Smalling, Tom Cleverley, Fabian Delph, Andy Carroll, Kieran Gibbs, Danny Rose. Substitutes: Frank Fielding, Kyle Naughton, Jack Cork, Dan Gosling, Henri Lansbury, Daniel Sturridge, Zavon Hines.
