SARACENS made the first of an expected four new additions to the back-line after capturing England three-quarter Dan Scarbrough on a two-year deal from Leeds Tykes.

Saracens fans were given further cause to celebrate when Matt Cairns completed a dramatic return after signing for the Men in Black just 12 months after departing Vicarage Road for Sale Sharks.

The Men in Black fought off stiff competition from table-topping Bath to secure the services of Scarbrough, one of the most potent players in the country, and the arrival of the versatile back is further evidence of the club's ambitious plans to bring exciting English-based talent to Vicarage Road.

"We are looking to recruit mainly English or UK based players and Dan, along with our recent signings Alex Sanderson, Iain Fullarton and Hugh Vyvyan all fit within that category," confirmed head coach Rod Kafer. "We have made some quality signings and more are set to follow."
