Everton defender Moses Barnett is one of five trialists lining up for Watford Reserves tonight as they take on Stevenage Borough.

Former Arsenal trainee and England Under-18 international Barnett, 19, will be joined in the Hornets starting XI by Everton teammate John Nolan, a 17-year-old midfielder.

The other three trialists are Padraig Quinn, Ryan James and Rodney McDonald.

Watford striker Marvin Sordell’s loan at Tranmere Rovers ended last week and the 19-year-old will start alongside Liam Henderson up front.

Michael Bryan and Piero Mingoia, who was recently handed a professional contract by Watford, will start on either flank.

The game at Boreham Wood FC kicks off at 7pm and if the Hornets win they will go top of the Football Combination East Division table and would still have three games in hand on current leaders Ipswich Town.

Watford line-up: North; Yiadom, James (t), McDonald (t), Barnett (t); Bryan, Quinn (t), Nolan (t), Mingoia; Henderson, Sordell. Subs: Thompson, Bond, Oshodi, Brooks, Whichelow.
