Watford in talks with Dundee United over Scott Severin move

The Hornets are in negotiations with Dundee United over the possible transfer of former Scotland international Scott Severin, the Watford Observer understands.

Severin has struggled to hold down a first team place at Vicarage Road since joining from Aberdeen on a free transfer last summer, making just 11 appearances.

The 31-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Kilmarnock, making 16 appearances, and the former Hearts captain could be set for a return to Scotland once more.

We understand Watford and Dundee United are currently in negotiations over a not only a loan move but also the possibility of a permanent transfer, which could go through as late as midnight when the Scottish transfer window closes.

the guy hasn't been given a chance .... so much for the careful player strategy that MM bangs on about....

Howver still chance that Loach could make the move to Scotland .... Celtic have been watching him according to Sky sources.

it may not have been good business as in playing for the team. But financially a pretty good move. We sign him on a free and get a transer fee a year later. As long as we make a profit after deducting a years worth of wages im happy
