More than a dozen local sides are celebrating promotion following the completion of this season’s Saracens Herts League, but another nine will have to look forward to spending at least next year in a division lower.
Six sides were already assured of promotion going into Saturday’s last day of the campaign and another four are also on the rise after securing a top-three finish.
However, there was good news for three more teams after Radlett confirmed their Home Counties Premier League status by beating Banbury.
Had the Cobden Hill side been relegated, only three sides would have been promoted from divisions two to 14 in the Herts League, but the fact they remain in Division One means Langleybury Seconds (Division Five), Radlett Fifths (Division 11) and Boxmoor Thirds (Division 14) will play in a league higher next season.
The local promoted Herts League teams are: Chipperfield Clarendon and Abbots Langley (Division Three); Met Police Bushey (Division Four); Langleybury Seconds (Division Five); Chorleywood Seconds (Division Six); Chipperfield Clarendon Thirds and Kings Langley Seconds (Division Eight); Met Police Bushey Seconds (Division Nine); Bovingdon (Division Ten); Radlett Fifths (Division 11); Bushey Thirds, Watford Town Thirds and Boxmoor Thirds (Division 14).
The local relegated Herts League teams are: Northwood Town (Division Three); Radlett Thirds (Division Four); Leverstock Green Seconds and Northwood Seconds (Division Five); Rickmansworth Seconds (Division Six); Bushey Seconds and Northwood Town Seconds (Division Eight); Hemel Hempstead Fifths (Division 11); Rickmansworth Fourths (Division 12).
