With promotion in sight, a determined and well rehearsed Fullerians travelled to Wasps in their last game of the season with only one thing on their minds.

And they did not disappoint, putting the game beyond Wasps in an astounding first half performance, taking the game 28-10 to earn promotion to London North West Two.

Fullerians started the game as they meant to go on, and it wasn't long before winger Fountain used his speed and power to drive Fullers forward, with Molloy converting from the following ruck.

As the game progressed, Fullers' domination continued as they linked their phases of play well and dominated in the scrum. With Wasps beginning to run out of ideas to stop Fullers, Fountain had scored what he thought to be Fullers' fourth try. However it was quickly disallowed as he was adjudged to have been held.

Fountain was sent to the sin bin for dissent and Wasps suddenly found themselves with a temporary spell of possession. However, the Fullers defence stood firm and soon emerged to score their actual fourth try and resultant bonus point, as winger Matt Dean used his power to beat his man and offload for scrum half Tom Sherriff to score.

After only 21 minutes of play, the game was almost already out of sight.

The second half was a far more sombre affair, as Fullerians, with the scoreline very much in their favour, looked to close the game out as much as possible. Wasps, however, had other ideas and deservedly scored early on.

Fullers also had two more sin binnings for persistent infringements and Wasps capitalised on their numerical advantage.

As they looked to keep Wasps out and keep the deficit in tact, Fullers bought on some fresh legs to allow the hard workers of the first half a well deserved break.

Despite persistent attempts to extend their lead, the Wasps defence learnt from their lessons in the first half and this time stood firm.

As the final whistle went, the players and travelling support celebrated an impressive victory and promotion after a long, hard season.

Captain James Molloy said: "Everybody put their bodies on the line for victory. We came out of the blocks very well and the game was out of sight by the end of the first half despite Wasps showing great spirit in the second half.

“It is fantastic to earn promotion to the next level, and I would like to thank the supporters who made the trip."
