Watford defender Tommie Hoban makes loan move to Ryman Premier Division Wealdstone

First published in Sport

Watford youngster Tommie Hoban has joined Wealdstone on loan.

The 18-year-old makes the move for a month, linking up with Britt Assombalonga and Connor Smith at the Ryman Premier Division side.

The second-year scholar, who operates as a central defender, is allowed to make the move as the transfer window does not apply to clubs below Blue Square Premier level.

Hoban made his first-team debut in the final game of last season, coming on as a sub for Martin Taylor at Preston North End.

Saw him play up here in Newcastle in the Under 18 Cup game - certainly looks the part but got caught out by Newcastle's forwards on several occasions. Needs another year or two before he should be considered for the first team.
