Cold snap doesn't deter Little Hay Golf Club

The cold weather that has gripped the UK hasn’t affected events at Little Hay Golf Club and the Men played their February Medal.

In Division One, Jim Lochead currently leads the way ahead of second placed Phil Jefferson. Mick Whelan is just behind in third.

Alan Christie is in top spot in Division Two but he is tied with Keith Muir on 68 in second. Chris Harper is sitting third, one point behind the leading duo.

Meanwhile, Little Hay Ladies played a friendly stableford. The winner was Alison Sexton who scored 35 points followed by Diane Drew and Esther Smith who both scored 32.

The Senior Men held a Texas Scramble followed by a charity lunch and auction. The team of Ron Johnson, Phil Joslin, John Ridgewell and Mark Sheldrake were victorious on the course, while more than £250 was raised for the captain’s charity.
