Watford still searching for loan club for winger Michael Bryan

Michael Bryan is back at Watford’s London Colney training base but Sean Dyche has confirmed he is still hoping the winger will be able to secure a loan move.

Bryan was part of the Hornets’ first team squad 15 months ago but then had an injury lay-off and has been unable to break back into the side.

The 22-year-old was signed by former Bradford City boss Peter Jackson but two weeks later he departed and was replaced by Phil Parkinson.

Bryan had to wait two months before starting his first game under Parkinson and although he did start three games under for former Chalton boss, he ended up making just nine appearances under both managers.

The Northern Ireland international has been on trial at clubs since then, including Leyton Orient, but is currently back training with the Hornets.

Dyche said: “Michael is an interesting one because we like his talent but we have been trying to get him games.

“Unfortunately when he was at Bradford they had a change of manager and that often changes the player’s situation and his contract had already been agreed there.

“We are still looking to get him first team games where we can.

“He hasn’t figured for us much but he is a talented youngster and we want to make sure he continues his development.”
