Watford defenders Adrian Mariappa and Nyron Nosworthy helped Jamaica keep a clean sheet in the Reggae Boyz 1-0 victory over Guyana.

The Hornets duo both made their debuts in the win – which was secured when Harbour View's Jeremie Lynch netted in the 61st minute – and they will now prepare for a two-match series against Panama on May 27 and June 1.

Nosworthy received his initial call-up to the squad in 2007 but missed out on an international bow due to injury, it was Mariappa’s first call-up to the squad.

Two debutant defenders and a clean sheet - can't ask for more than that from them. Well done

Looks as though all got what they deserved, Mapps and Nossy got called up and kept a clean sheet, and the pub team in scumsville got sweet fanny adams....not even worthy of being our rival any more, too long in the shadows of MK Dons, Stevenage, Railway Arms old boys etc etc. You're 5hit arrrhh
