The happy egg company will be Watford's official club sponsor
The Hornets have announced the happy egg company as the official club sponsor for the upcoming 2012/13 campaign.
Watford’s new Puma-produced shirts will carry the logo of the Hertfordshire-based company after a one-year agreement was confirmed with the UK’s largest free-range egg brand.
Replica kits for the season will also feature a unique QR code on the sponsor’s logo which once scanned will link straight to www.thehappyegg.co.uk – an aspect believed to be a first for a sponsor on UK football shirt.
The partnership is already well established as the happy egg company have sponsored various awards at the End of Season Dinner in recent years as well matchday support with sponsorship packages.
Raj Athwal, Watford FC’s Commercial Director, said: “This is a real partnership which sets Watford FC at the forefront of shirt sponsorship as demonstrated by the QR code concept.
“The good people from the happy egg company are already familiar faces to many at Vicarage Road and they’ve long been supporters of this club. They’re a local business looking to support their local club.
