Old Berkeley qualify for Horse of the Year show

Old Berkeley Hunt North's senior Prince Philip Cup team have qualified for the Horse of the Year show - the first time in the branch's 40 year history.

In a tense competition the Warwickshire team went ahead by one point going into the last race.

However, the Old Berkeley side managed to clinch victory after a fine performance in the final event.

The team was made up of Megan Ridle, from Heronsgate, Milly Clements-Moore, from Bovingdon, Cheshunt sisters Lauren and Chloe Day and Bedford’s Henry Goldhawk.

The side, which is now ranked sixth in the country, will be competing at the Horse of the Year Show which takes place from October 3 until the October 7.

Old Berkeley’s junior team of Holly Vincett, from Chorleywood, April and Jaimsye Bailey and brothers Ben and Josh Barton also rode brilliantly to come third coming third and qualify for the prestigious Pony Club Championships in August.
