Watford agree to cancel David Mirfin's contract so defender can join Scunthorpe United

Scunthorpe United have completed the signing of David Mirfin after Watford agreed to cancel his contract by mutual consent.

Mirfin has signed a two-year-contract with Scunthorpe, where he spent three years as a player before his move to Watford and also joined on loan last season.

Wasn't bothered, wanted to go back to Scunny. Went to Scunny a few times on business. He's welcome to the place. Remember a buyer for a very large, well known company situated there told me if i wanted the contract, he wanted a large amount of money in his personal account. Always coloured my feelings about the place.
