Watford head coach Gianfranco Zola refuses to comment on Udinese striker Alex Geijo

Gianfranco Zola has refused to comment on whether Udinese striker Alex Geijo is joining the club but has indicated "two or three" new faces may arrive this summer.
Swiss striker Geijo, 30, heads a list of transfer targets to be linked with the club and the player seemed to confirm he was moving to the Hertfordshire club on his twitter account at the weekend.
A translation of his tweet read: "Well then, I'm going to English club Watford on loan from Udinese for a year. On Monday I will travel to London. Wanting to start now."
Despite this clear indication from the striker, Zola refused to comment on the striker, or other individual transfer targets, but did state that more players will be coming through the doors.
He said: "There will certainly be one or two players, maybe three, who will be joining us to try and strengthen the team a little bit more, that’s for sure.
"We will see. I don’t know which ones but there will be maybe two or three players to strengthen the team.
"Saying that, I am very pleased with the others, and I’m sure we can do very good things."
Since the takeover by the Pozzo family, Watford have had access to Udinese's vast scouting network, as well as an advantageous partnership with the Pozzos' other clubs Udinese and Granada.
So far the Hornets have benefited from the relationship with the two clubs by signing five players on season-long loans, with Geijo expected to be the sixth.
Another player the Hornets are interested in is QPR striker DJ Campbell but we understand claims he was set to sign yesterday are premature.

We've "benefitted" if they are any good, are fit and get played. Otherwise they are expensive chair warmers! Will we be seeing any of them at gillingham? Have any of them HEARD of gillingham??

I'm willing to be open minded about all of these guys until we've seen them play a few times - they certainly have good enough credentials between them and the cream of our existing squad to have a good season. The great unknowns are whether these guys are fit and can last the season and whether they can play in the championship. let's see

Some players will fit the system, some not. Some of the players from abroad will settle in quickly some may not. Nobody really knows. One thing is for sure and that's the backing we have from the Pozzo's and the opportunity to see new and exciting talent at liitle old Watford.
Who cares if they haven't heard of Gillingham. Football is a job like any other and if the prospect of promotion and better things to come is what you strive for, then bring it on!!

So hoist up the Watford Flag, hear how the Hornets sing, if you don't join in I'll sing on my own, sing on my own.

But why will they be no good, the last thing the Pozzos or Zola will want is us being used as a dumping ground. It would quickly turn the fans off and their attendance and money is key to WFC going forward.
I think we need to back them and Zola and keep a very open mind on Duxbury and Nani.
As for DJ he turned his back on us a few years back and is very financially orientated despite having much to prove on the pitch but he is better than anything we have at present. Hope that Geijo comes and we get a good strike partner for him.
