Watford duo Lee Hodson and Adam Thompson have both been called-up by their respective Northern Ireland sides ahead of this week's international matches.

Defender Hodson, who will be hoping to secure a starting place this season under new Watford boss Gianfranco Zola, has already joined the senior squad ahead of their game with Finland at Windsor Park on Wednesday.

Also looking to impress Zola is Thompson, who had two loan spells at Brentford last season and was very good against Gillingham last week. The 19-year-old has joined up with the Under-21 squad ahead of their friendly against Hungary on Wednesday, kick-off 5.30pm.

Hodson has eight caps for Northern Ireland and Thompson has also featured for the full side on two occasions.
