Watford have signed Chelsea’s rising star Nathaniel Chalobah on loan until January 2.
Chalobah is just 17 years old but has already been an unused substitute for Chelsea’s first team, captained the victorious FA Youth Cup side, and also the Reserves, on several occasions last season.
He signed a new two-and-a-half year contract with Chelsea in January and travelled with the first team for the Champions League final victory in May.
Chalobah made his England Under-17 debut at just 14 and is currently an England Under-19 international.
The England website describes him as “Tall, athletic and comfortable in possession. The Chelsea youngster is a calm and composed player in either midfield or defence, both quick in the tackle and also able to play the ball sharply and accurately across the pitch.”

I personally don't like these 4 month signings, because like Kightly, Kacanilic, Mutch and Cork in past, they settle in, shine, then you lose em, so prefer season long loans !
This boy is only 17, so is this a GFZ to RDM favour, is this boy being sent to gain wider experience from a different training regime, with maybe the odd hope of making the bench ?
Agreed if we were still in Ccup then enough risk to play all the players, but now out, GFZ must be thinking rotation, or his problem becomes keeping em all happy !!
Before window shuts, and being greedy, still would like a Goalie and Top Striker
Guess there will be lots of "friendlies" at the training ground this year to keep good Karma

We certainly don't need 39 year old strikers. We want players with something to prove not a final pay day. Have you learnt nothing from the Vialli days? Besides. Del Piero has gone to Sydney. Thankfully.

The biggest problem is finding the best 11 or squad for each game. Not many managers will have his problem in the Championship.

Maybe we will have enough players for a 5th team by the end of the day, hopefully including Del Piero!
He's signed for Sydney FC this morning

At least with a bit of squad rotation we will remain a surprise package for some time. Previously opposing managers new our starting eleven and formation weeks in advance.
