Russell and Marshall leading professionals at West Herts pro-am

Raymond Russell and Andrew Marshall were the leading professionals at the West Herts pro-am on Friday.

The pair tied for the lead after scoring a five-under-par round of 67 at the course. James Heath, Lloyd Kennedy, Steve Tiley and Sam Hutsby were joint third.

European Tour golfer Holly Aitchison broke the ladies course record with a four-under-par round of 69.

Farren Keenan was the professional in the winning pro-am team which scored 90 points. Amateurs Jason Woodford, Paul Craddock and Trevor Brittain were also part of the victorious team.

The day was organised by Jamie Little and Back9Events. West Herts' Lee Morgan also assisted with the day which featured 27 teams.

Lavazza Coffee, Fullers London Pride and MDI Motor Services Ltd sponsored the event.

As part of the day, the Lavazza Challenge was held on the ninth hole where the company offered free coffee machines to anyone who hit the green. There were 64 competitors out of 108 who took advantage of the offer and won a machine.

M25 Audi offered an Audi A1 car for a hole in one on the fourth but despite some near misses no-one was able to win the prize.
