Strong start to the season for Garston Ladies

Garston Ladies started the season in fine style with seven wins out of nine games.
In their first competitive game, the Under-10s claimed a 5-0 win over Denham United Ladies through two-goal Nicole Zermani as well as Charlotte Bambridge, Paige Andrews and Jessica Moore.
The Under-11 Mets got off to a good start with a 6-0 victory against Kings Langley Belles.
Katie Edmunds, Megan Allaway, Jamie Lewis and Raaya Thanki (2) had put Garston well in control at the interval before Libby Poster netted the sixth. A Mia Ford hat-trick ensured the Under-11 Diamonds started the season with a hard-fought 3-1 win, while the Under-12s defeated Royston Town 2-0 thanks to Yasmin Sabri and Emily Downey.
The newly-promoted Under-13s were beaten 3-1 by Harvesters; Jemima Dawkins scoring.
Garston Under-15 Mets got their season up and running with a thumping 9-1 win against Watford Ladies.
There was a hat-trick from Clarisse Patel, while Lauren Berryman and Cassandra Chase both netted twice. Abi Layman and Rachel Rabin also netted.
The Under-15 Diamonds got their top-flight campaign off on the right foot with a 4-2 win against Hampstead. Claire Weekes put Garston ahead but they went in behind at the interval.
However, Diamonds took control in the second period and a second goal from Weekes was added to by Megan Jones and Amy Lane.
Garston’s Under-15 Sharks defeated Hemel Hempstead Town 3-0 through Megan Grace, Leanne Hunt and Scarlett Stanley.
Sunday’s game saw Garston’s Under-18s concede a late goal to be beaten 3-2 by Letchworth Garden City Eagles.
