Garston Ladies continue strong start to campaign

Garston Ladies’ fine start to the new season continued as their sides recorded four wins out of their six games on Saturday.

The Under-10s made it back-to-back victories as they defeated Harvesters 4-0.

In a tight first half, debutant Ella Jennings broke the deadlock shortly before the break.

After the interval, Nicole Zermani (2) and Paige Andrews also found the net to complete the win.

The Under-12s continued their perfect start to the campaign with a 4-0 win against St Albans City North.

Yasmin Sabri notched the first goal with just ten minutes gone and it was all Garston in the second period and strikes from Beth Smith, a second for Sabri and one from Tegan Davis sealed the win.

A Molly McGuane equaliser saw the Under-13s fight-back to draw 2-2 against Luton Town Ladies.

Garston went ahead after just three minutes as Casey Bunker slotted calmly home. However, Luton fought back and went into the break 2-1 ahead.

But Garston continued to battle and McGuane netted to ensure the points were shared.

The Under-15 Mets claimed a comfortable 4-0 win against Hampstead Eagles.

Cassandra Chase, Olivia Thomson and Clarisse Patel (2) were all on target for the Mets.

The Under-15 Diamonds were in fine form in front of goal as they eased to a 6-1 victory against Panshanger.
