Strong start to National League Division Two season for Hertfordshire Ladies Volleyball Club as they defeat Sheffield

Hertfordshire Ladies Volleyball Club made it two wins from two matches in National League Division Two as they defeated Sheffield 3-0.

Despite arriving at the host venue minutes before the match began, Herts quickly composed themselves and won the first set 25-19.

Sheffield lacked a major threat and strong serving from the visitors meant they claimed the second set 25-15.

Dutch newcomer Vivian Veldstra impressed on her debut and produced a strong display through the middle attack.

Herts remained in control of the match and they completed the victory with relative ease, taking the third and final set 25-20.

Alexandra Schultze was awarded most valuable player by the opposition for the second match running.

Herts take a break from action but return to the court at Queen’s School in Bushey when they take on Nottingham on Sunday October 21.
