Watford's leading scorer Matej Vydra is fit enough to return for their trip to Charlton Athletic tomorrow night but centre back Nyron Nosworthy is still out.
The pair were both absent during Saturday's 3-2 victory over Huddersfield Town after being ruled out on Friday.
Speaking this afternoon, head coach Gianfranco Zola told the Watford Observer: "Matej Vydra is back fit and available for selection. He had a knee injury because he had an operation last year and if he plays a lot then it can become swollen.
"Nyron unfortunately won't be able to make it; he still has a problem with his thigh."
Two players fit enough to be considered are midfielder Stephen McGinn and summer signing Joel Ekstrand.
McGinn has not made a competitive outings since February 2011 due to a serious knee injury and Ekstrand, who is a centre back, was suffering with illness.
Zola said: "Joel is available for selection for tomorrow. He had a virus and was having problems with his breathing.
"Stephen is fine now, he is training and is also available for selection."
Ikechi Anya had an inflamed ankle late last week and was sent for a scan this morning, but Zola is hoping he will be able to return to training tomorrow.
Zola had hoped Alex Geijo would be fit enough to make the squad for Charlton but this afternoon confirmed that will not be the case.
Like Geijo, Cristian Battocchio has also struggled with a groin problem and will not be available.
Prince Buaben (hamstring), John Eustace (back), Geoffrey Mujangi Bia (groin) and Jack Bonham (ankle) remain sidelined.
Troy Deeney and Fitz Hall made their first starts of the season on Saturday.
Zola refused to comment on whether the pair would be fit enough to play their second game in four days and would also not be drawn on whether players would be rotated.

Watched his ex teammates at Grenada come close to holding Barca at the Nou camp last weekend. They fought like tigers, could have nicked it, and then were undone by 2 goals in the last 3 mins. They may be loanee-rich too but there was plenty of passion. Not sure if it was shown on sky ?

Shame as he could be such a key player for us if we can just get him on the pitch. At least we are not lacking up front at the moment.

They played really well against Barca - especially the keeper in that vivid pink kit - the 2 goals in 88 and 90 mins had been coming for a while but as Mickey saifd - between 80 and 88 when the game became really open and stretched Granada had 2 two on ones where a calmer approach might have stolen the game.

we are only 10 league games into a 46 league season so if he is involved from game 12 he could feature in over 30 league games! and maybe get 15-18 goals?
My side prediction for tomorrow: Almunia, Doyley, Ekstrand, Neuton, Pudil, Vydra, Abdi, Chalobah, Hogg, Forestieri, Deeney with subs of: Bond, Hall, Murray, Cassetti, McGinn, Yeates and Beleck!
This is a strong team and when the likes of Fanchone, Battocchino, Mujangi Bia, Eustace, Bauban and Anya are fit we will proberbly see the likes of Dickinson, Yeates, Iwelumo and Forsyth leave on loan or to be sold for nominal fees to reduce wage bill.
This is exciting times chaps and I think we will push up the table gradually and come Dec/Jan when a few players have moved on we will really show are class!
