Oxhey Jets eased to a 5-2 win over Holmer Green on Tuesday in the South Midlands Premier Division Cup.
The hosts conceded the opening goal and Sam Styles was the busier keeper early on as the Jets struggled. But Oxhey equalised after 22 minutes when Lewis Putman caught the goalkeeper out with a strike from the edge of the area.
A Chris Ingham corner was headed home by Steve Brown as they took a lead into the break.
Gavin Hart set up Ben Poulton for Oxhey's third shortly after the restart and a penalty from Andy Lomas made it 4-1.
A defensive mistake enabled the visitors to pull one back but the final Oxhey goal came when Danny Tilbury fired home at the back post.
Oxhey Jets eased to a 4-1 win at Tring Athletic in the Premier Division last weekend.
Chris Killer produced a predatory finish for the only goal of the first half which gave the Jets a slender advantage.
Putman added the second goal four minutes after the break and Ian Bywater extended their lead. Tring replied through Stuart King but Killer's second of the game sealed a comfortable league victory for the Jets.
Kings Langley battled to a 2-1 win at New Bradwell St Peter in the first round of the Division One Cup on Tuesday.
Tom Carter won the ball on the left wing and delivered a trademark 25-yard shot into the far corner for the opening goal. Link striker Sam Flood doubled the lead as the second half resumed, heading in from close range from a Gary Wallace long throw.
The home side finally came into the contest and their pressure resulted in a goal but a young Kings Langley side held on to book a trip to Amersham Town in the next round of the competition.
Kings Langley snatched a late equaliser in their 1-1 draw at Codicote in Division One last weekend.
All the drama came in the last ten minutes of the match. Kane Dougherty took advantage of a misunderstanding between Scott Bonner and goalkeeper Anthony Ladyman to chip the latter and seemingly take the points with an 80th minute goal.
But the visitors kept battling and got their reward in the 88th minute when Nathan Pooley spotted the keeper off his line and brilliantly hit a 47-yard shot into the net.
Sun Postal Sports earned a 3-1 win at Wodson Park on Wednesday night. Two early goals from Karl Penny put the visitors in control and Callum Hayley netted the third after 23 minutes. The hosts netted a consolation but Sun Postal ran out comfortable victors.
It was another good day for Sun Postal Sports at the weekend as they defeated Cranfield United 4-2. But they had to work very hard for the win after falling 2-0 down in the first half.
Two goals from Penny brought them level before Tom Budden and Bertie Squires-Adams completed a fine comeback.
