Former Watford striker Marvin Sordell claims he was racially abused at Millwall this afternoon.

Hornets Academy graduate Sordell was an unused substitute as Bolton Wanderers lost 2-1 at The Den and the England Under-21 striker claims he was racially abused – using the term ‘slave ****’ as an example of what was said.

Sordell also claims unacceptable comments were made to Bolton team-mates Lee Chung-Yong, Darren Pratley and Benik Afobe.

Using social networking site Twitter, Sordell said: “Putting the match aside, it’s 2012 in England and people are still shouting racial abuse at a football game? #Shocking

“Chungy, Pratts, Benik and I had all sorts of things said to us. The police were standing yards away and did nothing

“Funniest thing is if I had come on and scored and gave them some back, I would be the one who got fined. #kickitout? Yeah I’m sure.”

Racial abuse at The New Den, surely not. Who'd have thought it? Unfortunately Millwall still have more than their fair share of Neanderthal "Knuckle Draggers" I thought that they'd sorted it out down there, obviously not. Disgraceful.

Behave, ever heard of devil's spawn, it'll never be sorted down there or anywhere else come to that, you can't force everyone to toe the line despite what we're told.

Mr Sordell. your pathetic comments shows what a bandwagon jumping petty fool you are. It was you that started giving abuse to fans along the touchline when you equalised, when you got some back. You revert to the tired boring trick of playing the race card.
FACT 1-You were not racially abused
FACT 2-There were no police ignoring anything. People are ejected from the Den these days for the slightest hint of any from of abuse
FACT 3- You never reported the incident until after your pathetic Tweet
If you cant take abuse, dont give it. Now stop crying and grow a pair. I notice Sordell or even the PC crazy media havent mentioned the fact tat Danny Shittu was on the end of monkey chants from his former fans esterday. But then again Shittu is a man and just gets on with life. As for the idiot saying Millwall fans are 'knuckle draggers', what a total idiot.

Wobby, very dangerous, printing one sided twitter reports, without finding out the other side first.

If that's what happened to Shittu, then he or a member of the public should report it. I suggest Shittu would be more of a man if he faced up to it and tried to do something to stop it happening again, rather than sweeping it under the carpet (if indeed it happened at all).
