Former Watford defender Robert Page has taken the plunge into management and will be unveiled as the new AFC Wimbledon boss in the next 24 hours, it has been reported.

The former Sheffield United, Cardiff City, Coventry City, Huddersfield Town and Chesterfield defender will be appointed before he is presented to fans tomorrow night, according to the Hounslow Chronicle.

The paper also claims the 38-year-old was picked ahead of former Watford defender Neal Ardley and caretaker boss Simon Bassey.

The Welshman has been working as a coach at Port Vale.

As I don't have the time or inclination to read all the other local papers in England thanks to the WO for regurgitating this snippet of news for me.
And Robert Page was a good player for us so I wish him good luck as does the first poster. COYH

Well apart from the fact that the BBC have it as it being Neil Ardley. Still pretty easy to correct Wobby Journo. Replace all references of Page to Ardley and change the photo. Job done!
