Kings Langley Ladies back on track with Arlesey Town win
11:50am Thursday 11th October 2012 in Sport
Kings Langley Ladies returned to winning ways with an entertaining 8-5 home win over Arlesey Town Reserves in Beds & Herts County Division Three.
Amy Earthrowl nabbed her first hat-trick showing predatory skills with the keeper unable to hold onto the shots being fired in from Kim Nield, Nicole Barrett and Mary Hogan.
Sam Walters starting the goal rush in only the fifth minute, pouncing on a spilt ball after Nield's inital shot was parried. Nield grabbed two goals as did Barrett. Chances were being created with Jade North and Meg Burrows seeing efforts go close. Two goals in two minutes saw Kings take a 6-2 lead before the visitors rallied back.
Arlesey worked tirelessly to reduce the defecit but whenever they did breach Kelsea Layer's goal, Kings rolled up their sleeves and quickly re-established the lead.
In a match full of positives, Katie Nield made her debut for Kings, coming on as substitute at half-time.
Kings Langley entertain Cranfield United this Sunday at Jarmans Running Track with kick off at 2pm.
