Five Watford players are away on international duty

Five Hornets are away on international duty in the coming week.

Nyron Nosworthy is expected to line-up for Jamaica when they take on Guatemala tomorrow and Antigua & Barbuda on Tuesday in 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

Full back Lee Hodson has been called-up to the Northern Ireland squad for their qualifier against Portugal on Tuesday.

Forward Matej Vydra retained his spot in the Czech Republic squad for their clashes with Malta tomorrow and Bulgaria four days later.

At Under-20 level, Cristian Battocchio is in the Italy squad for their games with Germany and Iran and Tommie Hoban has been named in Republic of Ireland Under-19's squad for the games with Luxembourg, Macedonia and Germany.

It is crazy Cristian Battocchio getting called up for international duty when he hasn't been fit enough to play for us - he'll probably be out for another couple of months then after he comes back from international duty or until the next round of internationals.

Or on the positive side he might just get his fitness levels up ready to take his place in our squad after the internationals.

To be honest I'd rather see Battocchino play a few games for Italy U20's to get his fitness up then in the championship for us as he is more likely to get kicked or tackled toughly playing for us at the moment!

Battochio played last night against Germany u20`s. They lost 4-1 and Battochio wasn't at his best apparently.

Truly, the whole Italy U20 was not at the best, but from text comments it seems Battocchio made some good plays at least, and played 72' before being subbed (when it was still 2-1).
Good training for match fitness at least.
