Watford midfielder Craig Forsyth set for two-month loan stint in League Two

Craig Forsyth is set to leave Watford on loan for a League Two club later today, the Watford Observer understands.

The midfielder’s opportunities at Vicarage Road have been limited to two Capital One Cup appearances this season following the influx of summer signings and he is now expected to move for what is understood to be a two-month spell.

The 23-year-old joined the Hornets from Dundee in June of last year and has to date scored 18 goals in 103 career club appearances.

Assuming there are no late unforeseen hitches with the deal, Forsyth will become the fifth Watford player currently out on loan, along with Joe Garner (Carlisle United), Britt Assombalonga (Southend United) and Matty Whichelow and Piero Mingoia (both Accrington Stanley).

I think we can all agree this was inevitable. Good luck to him, he certainly is a trier and let's hope his career picks up even if it's not for us.

Good for everyone involved, hopefully a permenant transfer will be the end result.
The level of player quality has increased at our club, no fault of Forsyth just the way it is. I'm happy with this!
