Top of the table Watford Town Thirds saw off Tewin by six wickets to take top spot in the table.

Zirak Khan took six for 58 as Watford bowled Tewin out for 142. The away side then comfortably chased down the runs inside just 22 overs with Lester Baldwin finishing unbeaten on 58.

Hemel Hempstead Fifths were left frustrated by the rain as they were held to a draw against Stevenage Fifths.

Stevenage posted a strong total of 242 for seven and that was a daunting prospect to chase down.

However, Hemel looked to be on track with Chris Wright scoring 58 and Graham Wright reaching 94 not out.

Hemel needed 23 runs to win the game with two overs remaining but the heavens opened and they were denied the chance to finish their run chase.

A fine bowling performance helped Langleybury Fourths record a dominant 133-run win against Berkhamsted Thirds.

After winning the toss, Bury captain Ed Gunning decided to bat and openers Lee Channer (68) and Gavin Mawn (38) put on a 110-run stand for the first wicket.

Fifteen-year-old Evan King notched a well constructed 71 and Tom McHugh chipped in with 19 as Bury declared on 226 for nine from 45 overs.

With the rain closing in, Gunning elected to open with spinners Scott Dormody and Hassan Bhatti.

Dormody struck first and Bhatti claimed five for 30 from his 19 overs.

Their performance with the ball put Bury in a commanding position and they were able to dismiss Berkhamsted for a mere 93 in the 37th over.

Chorleywood racked up a big score of 234 for eight with Bob Russell taking three for 71.

Abbots were never really in the hunt but Reza Khan (23) and Harry Khan (44) made every effort to accumulate points for a young Abbots side.

However, they settled for the draw with nine wickets down.

Northwood Town Thirds eased to a six-wicket win over Watford Town Fourths, bowling the home side out for just 59.

Minesh Vadgama was the pick of the attack with four for 15 and was well supported by Shahmeer Syed who recorded figures of three for 10.

The run chase didn’t last long as Town needed only 14 overs to knock off the runs and complete the comfortable win.

Rickmansworth Fifths enjoyed a much needed victory against fellow strugglers Hatfield Hyde.
