Chorleywood Thirds outclassed Hoddesdon Thirds as they defeated the visitors by 137 runs with Simon Dare and Tom Bindloss both scoring half-centuries.

Choosing to bat first, 79 from Bindloss and 77 from Dare allowed the home side to declare on 230 for three in the 41st over.

The away side’s response was never allowed to get going as Mick Rose took four for 29 and Will Bryant three for 26 to bowl Hoddesdon out for just 93.

Kings Langley Thirds recorded a six-wicket win away at Northwood Thirds but remain a point off the promotion places.

Bowling first, Dave Percy and Gordon Sambidge each took four wickets as Northwood were bowled out for 153 before Sifan Naeem hit a half-century to ease the away side to victory.

Abbots Langley Thirds suffered their first defeat in eight matches as they fell to a six-wicket loss against Waltham Cross Rosedale Thirds.

The young Abbots side batted first and needed an assured unbeaten 49 from 13-year-old Lewis Hodgins to help them post 166 for seven, having earlier been reduced to 62 for five.

Visitors Waltham Cross never looked in trouble as they chased down the total in less than 40 overs.

Chris Theaker was the pick of the bowlers for the home side, taking two for 40.

Visitors Rickmansworth chose to take to the field first and limited the home side to 179 for eight as Rushil Sharma and Gajan Rudrakumar took three wickets a piece.

The away side’s response got off to a good start with contributions from Neil Raithantha (34) and Emerey D’Sylve (30).

Needing only 30 from the last six overs with five wickets in hand, Rickmansworth collapsed to 152 all out.

Hemel Hempstead Fifths suffered a final-ball defeat at home to Southgate Adelaide Thirds despite opener Chris Wright hitting a half-century.

Batting first, Hemel scored an impressive 214 for seven after important contributions from Wright (78) and Tony Linfoot (42).

Although Harry Milkins also took three for 41, the away side clinched victory off the last delivery.

Division 13

Northwood Town Thirds secured a 59-run victory over Shenley Village Fourths as they kept up their hopes of promotion after Mitesh Parmar claimed five wickets.
