Division 12

Watford Town Thirds were crowned champions after they beat Bushey Thirds by 17 runs.

After losing the toss, Watford were asked to bat.

However, they slumped to 93 for five before Naveed Sharif hit 86 and 14-year-old Charlie Harwich contributed 34 to help them post 214 for nine.

Zirak Khan then took four for 52 and Jidran Mohmand claimed three for 54 as Watford bowled the visitors out for 197.

Hemel Hempstead Fifths had to settle for a draw away at Old Albanian Thirds as opener Chris Wright hit a half-century.

Wright (51) was well accompanied at the other end by Tony Linfoot (45) as the visitors were bowled out for 200.

Keiran Sarsons took four for 22 and Dean Breed three for 36 as the home side’s batting line-up was rattled through by Hemel but they were unable to claim Old Albanian’s last two wickets.

Division 13

Northwood Town Thirds clinched promotion by a single point following a two-wicket away victory over Old Camdenians Thirds.

After winning the toss, captain Sumeet Khetia chose to insert the opposition into bat and Mitesh Parmer (three for 17) and Minesh Vadgama (three for 54) bowled well to reduce Old Camdenians to 136 for eight With the home side only being able to field nine players it meant Northwood Town needed 137 runs to climb into Division 12.

Despite the low target, the visitors wobbled but it was left to David Harding (16) and Parmer (17 not out) to secure the victory.

Chorleywood Fourths, who have already been relegated, clinched a thrilling seven-run win over Waltham Cross Rosedale Fourths.

Batting first, Chorleywood were bowled out for 159 as Chris Lee top-scored with 60 before taking four for 39 as Rosedale were dismissed for 152.

Abbots Langley Fourths crashed to a six-wicket defeat against Redbourn Fourths after only two players hit double figures.

Jack Bishop (29) and Reza Khan (13) couldn’t stop Abbots being bowled out for a disappointing total of 89.

Although Khan then took two for nine, Redbourn reached the total in 23 overs.
