Steve Finn is still waiting for his first England appearance since last September after the Watford-born fast bowler was left out of the one-day international side for Wednesday’s defeat against India.
The 25-year-old had not been part of the ODI squad for almost a year after he severely struggled on England’s tour of Australia with his bowling and was sent home after being deemed “unselectable”.
However, after impressing during the county season for Middlesex he has been called up for the current series against India.
While he didn’t feature on Wednesday in the second game, which England lost by 133 runs, he will hope to earn selection when the two sides face off against each other for the third time at Trent Bridge tomorrow (Saturday).
